, a pair of large, open-back headphones that deliver remarkable, larger-than-life sound. The FT3 features a 60mm dynamic driver with a beryllium-plated gasket and a diamond-like carbon (DLC) diaphragm that mitigates nonlinear distortion while extending the frequency response (7 Hz to 40 kHz).
The enclosure is made from durable and lightweight aluminum alloy and houses the drivers at an angle parallel to the ear for better sonic delivery. The open-back design reduces unwanted vibration and resonances, resulting in a massive soundstage. The 350-ohm impedance requires a proper headphone amplifier to deliver stunning clarity and an imperceptible signal-to-noise ratio. The FT3 features a 9.9' high-purity Furukawa monocrystalline copper wire headphone cable, two pairs of ear pads (protein leather and suede), two sets of plugs (3.5mm and 4.4mm), two adapters (3.5mm to 1/4" and 4.4mm to XLR-4), and a luxurious leather case.
Harnessing Energy for Great Sound
The FT3's large 60mm dynamic driver is capable of generating higher output power, leading to less distortion under large dynamic signals. Also, the larger driver is more easily able to produce lower frequencies for deeper reaching bass.
Beryllium-Plated Gasket + DLC
The FT3 driver gasket is plated with beryllium, resulting in a lighter and more rigid gasket to better handle the movement of the large dynamic driver for less distortion. The diaphragm of the FT3 is made of Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC), which is both highly sturdy and lightweight compared to other diaphragm materials, allowing for the FT3 driver to be less prone to breakup and nonlinear distortion. It also has an extended frequency response and improved soundstage.
Pure Sound 350-Ohm High Impedance
The FT3 was designed with a 350-ohm impedance to achieve great sound. Higher impedance headphones are more effective at filtering out noise, resulting in a purer sound with better signal-to-noise ratio performance. The voice coil is made of ultra-fine Japanese copper-clad aluminum only 0.035mm thick in diameter and allows the driver to better and more quickly follow signals. It has anti-interference capabilities while providing thunderous dynamics across a wide frequency range.
Asymmetrical Magnetic Circuit System
The FT3 utilizes powerful N52 neodymium magnets to maximize sound quality under its 350-ohm impedance design. These magnets have been arranged in an optimized asymmetrical internal and external magnetic circuit system. When the voice coil starts to move during the reproduction of sound, the optimized magnetic circuit balances this movement of the voice coil and diaphragm, especially during large dynamic changes, allowing for a more effective use of magnetic energy and better control over the voice coil.
